Army 2nd Lt. Christy Isis Achanzar, the first female cadet of the Philippine Military Academy to graduate from United States Military Academy (USMA) Westpoint, where she earned the Superintendents Award for Achievement. "Ice" is a 1998 DCNHS graduate of DCNHS.

I would like to share something about a successful batchmate of mine in the field of film making. His name is Yam Laranas. He is a well-known cinematographer in advertising here in manila who ventured into commercial film making. He was the director/cinematographer of films BALAHIBONG PUSA, RADYO, and a number more. The last film he directed here was SIGAW which premiered in Montreal, Canada in 2006. He made an american version of this film entitled THE ECHO. It stars Jesse Bradford. The film will again have a world premier in FANTASIA, a film festival in Montreal, this coming july 17. He is 100% Davaoeno and Davao City High School Alumnus.
