Admission

The DCNHS will accommodate new, transferring and returning students who desire to enroll in this institution provided that they meet the following requirements:

a) New Students/Transferees

  1. Form 138-A or Report Card of the grade/year last attended;
  2. Certificate of good moral character from the principal of the school last attended;
  3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate;
  4. 2copies of 1×1 recent I.D. picture
  5. Report for an interview with parents/guardians at the Guidance Office;
  6. Interested in-coming First Year students must pass the qualifying test for specific programs (ESEP and SPA).

b) Old Students

  1. Form 138-A or Report Card
  2. Students with failing grade/mark of three units or more will be admitted to the same year level;
  3. Students who are retained in their curriculum year will undergo interview with parents and sign the “kasunduan” at the Guidance Office.

Enrolment Procedures

a.  New Students (First Year)

  1. Report to the Enrolling Area to locate their sections.
  2. Accomplish the admission slip.
  3. Submit the accomplished form to the enrolling teacher.
    (note:  Students with unreturned admission slips are not officially enrolled.)

b.  Transferees

  1. Interview by the Guidance Counselor with the parents;
  2. Present Certificate of Good Moral Character;
  3. Sign the “Kasunduan”;
  4. Report to the enrolling teacher.

c.  Old Students/Regular Students (2nd, 3rd and 4th Year)

  1. Present Form 138-A or Report Card to the enrolling teacher;
  2. Accomplish the admission slip to be signed by the enrolling teacher;
  3. Present duly accomplished admission slip to the enrolling committee for authentication.

Rules and Regulations

  1. Every student must observe proper decorum.
  2. Students are expected to maintain personal neatness.
  3. Students should conduct himself/herself in accordance with the highest moral tradition of the Filipino to elicit respect for himself and family in whatever time and place.
  4. Students should, in the exercise of his/her rights and performance of his/her duties, act with respect, show concern for others and observe honesty and good faith.
  5. Students should respect dignity, personality, privacy, and peace of mind of his/her co-student and other persons.
  6. Male students should observe the prescribed 2×3 haircut. Haircut inspection is done every first Monday of the month.
  7. Every student is require to attend the flag raising ceremonies everyday.
  8. A student is considered late if he arrives 15 minutes after the class has started.
  9. Any student who is absent from class should present an excuse letter signed by his/her parent/guardian stating the reason for his/her absence, on the day he/she comes back to school. This letter is noted by the teacher-adviser.
  10. A student is responsible for whatever is taken up in the class during his/her absence.
  11. Regular attendance and punctuality in all classes and other activities shall be observed by all students.
  12. A student who incurs absences 20% of the total number of school days for the school year may be a ground for a student to be dropped from the roll.
  13. A student who incurs 10 successive absences without valid reason shall be dropped from the roll be the adviser.
  14. A student with excused absences, shall be given a special consideration by the subject teacher upon presentation of medical certificate, letter from parents/guardians or memorandum from the school.
  15. During class hours, students may secure permission from the subject teacher/adviser/school nurse and the latter shall evaluate the necessity of leaving the campus.
  16. The faculty room is solely for the use of the teachers.
  17. The following articles/items are not allowed to be brought to the school:
    • Obscene and/or pornographic reading materials and pictures;
    • Multimedia gadgets (like cellphones, MP4s) with obscene content;
    • Deadly weapons (includes sharp bladed instruments, buckles);
    • Firecrackers and other explosive materials;
    • Prohibited drugs, including marijuana stick, narcotics, etc.;
    • Alcoholic drinks and beverages;
    • Cigarettes.
  18. Parents/Guardians who want to see their children should log-in at the guardhouse and should observe dress code.
  19. Students are encouraged to join mandated organizations of the school.
  20. Students are responsible for the maintenance of the cleanliness in the classroom and its surrounding. The use of the classroom for any form of business is absolutely prohibited except in TLE subject.
  21. Students must observe silence along corridors during class hours and are not allowed to loiter in the corridors.

Offenses

Minor Offenses

  1. Tardiness
  2. Non-wearing of complete, prescribed uniform like I.D., Necktie, etc.
  3. Multi-colored dyed hair
  4. Wearing of earrings (boys)
  5. More than one pair of earring for the girls
  6. Discourtesy
  7. Indecent language
  8. Unnecessary shouting that disturbs classes in session

Major Offenses

  1. Lending of I.D. to other students
  2. Possession of deadly weapons
  3. Cutting of classes
  4. Unexcused absences
  5. Gross misconduct, disobedience to the authorities, teachers and personnel and excessive violation of school rules and regulations.
  6. Inviting fights or physical assault to any person
  7. Gambling and betting inside the school
  8. Bringing explosive materials and firecrackers
  9. Vandalism/destruction of school properties
  10. Dishonesty/cheating/stealing/shoplifting
  11. Smoking, possession or passing of cigarettes within the school campus
  12. Forgery or tampering of documents, signature on letter and grades
  13. Drinking hard liquor/drunkenness/under the influence of liquor
  14. Littering
  15. Bringing of the following articles/items:
    • Obscene and/or pornographic reading materials and pictures, cassette tapes with loud sounds;
    • Deadly weapons (includes sharp bladed instruments, buckles);
    • Firecrackers and other explosive materials;
    • Prohibited drugs, including marijuana stick, narcotics, etc.;
    • Alcoholic drinks and beverages;
    • Cigarettes
  16. Use, possession or peddling of marijuana leaves or stick, narcotics or any prohibited drugs;
  17. Extortion, pickpocket
  18. Engaging in indecent acts
  19. Committing incidents harmful to the good name of the school, ex: shopliftings, riots
  20. Recruitment/membership in gangs
  21. Repeated Minor and Major offenses.
